Dying Flame

So, it's been a long time since I've been able to post a blog. There are a lot of things I could have and would have talked about, but I think that they're not as important now.

Mainly, right now I want to talk about my feelings on the state of the world.

I feel that America has made too many poor decisions in the past few years, and now we are suffering the consequences. Neither of the two main candidates for president were good choices, and now America will have to face that reality. America chose Barack Obama, who is very persuasive and a good speaker. But he is going to give America what it wants: easy-breeze living for the people. Sure, we'll have to give up a lot of our freedom, and maybe it won't be as fun as we thought. But hey, no more paying for healthcare, right?

America is going to die. I mean it. A true republic, true democracy, is a dying flame. It's guttering out as the winds of "change" blow and blow.

Congratulations, America. Welcome to the start of the end of our freedom.

A Bunny

I love LOLcats, and LOLbunniez too.

Sweet.

Get to Know the Constitution

So, how many of you have said, "Well, that's a given right!  It's in the Constitution!"?

You could be wrong.  Here's a link to a website that debunks common myths and misconceptions, such as the whole "separation of church and state" thing:

I highly recommend looking at it.  You don't want to be mean to others just because they actually know more about the constitution than you.

A Weekend in Nauvoo

This weekend, I was privileged and blessed enough to go to Nauvoo as a Called To Serv (CTS) sister missionary.  I was so excited about the experience, and I really looked forward to it.

I don't have pictures right now, but whenever I get some, you'll see them.

I learned a lot about missionary work.  I felt so peaceful and happy, and I came to really appreciate what the pioneers went through in the early days of the Church.  I have a very strong testimony of the pioneers and their faithfulness.  I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the only church that teaches the fulness of the restored gospel, and I know that my Father in Heaven, and his son, my Savior and Redeemer, live.  They love me and want me and everyone in this world to live worthily so we can live with them again.  So we can be happy forever.

Nauvoo is one of the most spiritual places I know, and it speaks to everyone, if you'll only listen.  The pageant is the best part for those of you who can't go to the temple.

Just know that I love the gospel, and I love the church, and I especially love my Savior.

Believe me, I'm beautiful

Okay, not really. But that's a great attention-grabber, isn't it?

The purpose of this post is to start revealing my personality to my readers, and to begin the process that will lead to a liberation from common sense and reality.

Sometimes I will be serious, and that means I'm saying something I consider important. That's when you want to pay attention to what I'm saying.

Someday, I want to be an author, and someday I want to have a family of my own. I want to raise my children and write books and short stories and just generally have fun.

For example, I write on Helium.com, and my favorite type of writing is poetry and novel excerpts.
(See my home page here)
Don't be alarmed; I'm not crazy, just random, whimsical, unique......nonsensical.

Today I was going to return a DVD that I checked out from the library, because I have a 2 dollar fine or something on my card now, but I didn't because I was busy all day. So now I'm going to have to pay the fine if I want to use the computer there, or check out books (which I really do want to do!!!). The sad thing is, I checked it out for my 6-year-old brother, and he's only watched it once, maybe. Sheesh.

Anyway, that's all for now, folks, and I'll be back some other time!

Website (and other things)

I'm designing the websites for the Aiel Org of Dragonmount.com, and it's fun. I'm having a blast learning new things, and I hope I can figure out how to convert the site to HTML so I can mess with it even more (I have a freewebs site up now).

I'm being lazy this summer, and I haven't accomplished much. I'd say more, but I don't have time.

So, keep in mind that there are people out there who are lying to you, and listen to what you hear and sort through the lies to find the truth. It's out there, if you listen hard enough.
